Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book my preservation in advance?

While we sometimes accept last minute drop offs, it is highly recommended that you book in advance. We only accept a certain number of bouquets per week and we want to make sure we have space available for you!

Do I need to make a deposit?

Yes, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required in order to hold your date. This goes directly towards your final cost and the remaining balance will be due upon pick up/shipping of your completed products.

Where are you located?

Our home studio is currently located at 1521 Newport Drive, Macedonia, OH. Local customers can deliver in-person to our contactless drop off location in Macedonia.

How does shipping my bouquet work?

If you need to ship your bouquet, we will give you detailed instructions on how to care for your bouquet and properly pack it. You will then overnight/priority ship your bouquet to us within 48 hours of your event. We will send confirmation once we have received your bouquet and begin the preservation process. *The customer is responsible for all shipping costs*

My flowers have already completely wilted. Is there anything I can do?

Yes! In many cases, we may still be able to salvage parts of your bouquet to make smaller items and jewelry. If you have concerns about the condition of your bouquet, send a photo to hawthornandquinn@gmail.com and we can discuss your options!

How do you preserve flowers?

We use two main methods to preserve your flowers - Using a classic wooden flower press or drying flowers three dimensionally in silica crystals. The process we use will depend on which items you choose to order. (Ex: We will press any flowers that are going to be framed. We will dry any flowers used for bookends or large trays in silica crystals.)

Will my flowers stay the same color once dried?

Dried flowers have their own unique colors and characteristics. Some flowers will maintain color better than others. Blue, purple, and dark pink flowers tend to keep their color well and may only slightly change shades. Flowers such as red roses, tend to look more purple when they are fully dry. White flowers will take on an off-white, ivory, or beige color. If you have concerns about specific flowers or colors, feel free to contact us and we can provide you with additional information.

How long will my flower preservation take?

Most blooms take 4 - 6 weeks to fully dry. They will then be added to a queue of other bouquets before being added to the design desk. We will then confirm product choices, layouts, and designs before finishing out your order. You can expect your order to be complete and ready to be packed within roughly 6 months.

What is your refund/return policy?

Due to the nature of our work and the customization of each product, we do not accept returns or offer refunds. We will work with you throughout the design process to ensure that you are happy with each item. If you find that an item is damaged upon delivery/pick up, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can get the issue resolved.
